DevOps for advanced manufacturing: Accelerating innovation and fostering technological adoption

This paper presents a microservices architecture platform built on open-source DevOps tools to support advanced manufacturing workflows. By using DevOps tools, this paper provides a robust, portable, and cost-effective prototype for robotics, AI/ML, Web Services, and other manufacturing applications. The presented platform accelerates innovation by enabling rapid experimentation and collaboration while promoting technological adoption through ease of use and reliability. We discuss this system’s implementation, benefits, and potential applications in overcoming the disparity between industry and academia.
